dietitian is an expert in food and nutrition. Dietitians help
promote good health through proper eating. Services that a dietician
can provide range from developing modified diet programs for
individuals through to working with groups to provide education on
good nutritional habits
At
ACNHW, our dietician Olivia is an
Accredited Practicing Dietitian and has experience working in a
clinical setting. She has experience in the nutritional management
of cardiac disease and associating risk factors including high
cholesterol, high blood pressure and overweight/ obesity.
She also has a strong interest in type 2 diabetes, PCOS and
nutrition after gastrointestinal surgery. Olivia can also assist you
and your family to make healthy lifestyle choices with activities
such as healthy eating workshops, supermarket tours and learning to
read food labels. She has run these workshops for staff at
organizations such as Anglicare and Meals on Wheels.
Olivia is a passionate cyclist, previously representing SA at the
national level. She currently participates in local and interstate
competition and will be pursuing her interest in sports dietetics
during 2009. Other sports of interest include running, weight
training and triathlon.
